If adding dependents not previously covered, the following documentation is required to be uploaded into the system no later than Dec. 2, 2019:
Spouse/Domestic Partner: A copy of a marriage certificate/license or a Certificate of Registered Domestic Partnership
Child: A birth certificate or other legal documentation showing guardianship
Employees experiencing a life event (e.g., birth, marriage, etc.) during open enrollment should process the event first, before starting the Open Enrollment process. Then complete the Open Enrollment event. If you use the Open Enrollment Event to process a life event (e.g., adding a new spouse due to marriage), coverage will not be effective until Jan. 1, instead of the date of marriage.
